Ontario Population


There are more than 422,770 Chinese Canadians living in Ontario. 
The province has the largest Chinese population in Canada. It is also 
the most popular destination for Chinese immigrants.

According to the 1996 Census, 85% of the Chinese Canadian in 
Ontario are living in the Toronto census metropolitan area (CMA). 
This means about 360,000 Chinese people live in or near the City of 
Toronto. The rest are in neighboring towns and cities, such as 
Ottawa, Hamilton, London and Windsor, with a small number of 
Chinese each.
