- The Chinese Media Index (CMI) is an independent survey conducted by
ACNielsenDJC Research, the global leader in market research, information
and analysis.
- The Vancouver Chinese Media Index (CMI) measures television and radio
audience, newspaper and magazine readership among the Chinese
population of Vancouver.
- The study combines an extensive product and services usage and behavior
component with media usage information into a single source data set for
marketing and advertising planners.
- Drawing from a representative sample of 1,005 Chinese-speaking adults
aged eighteen years and older living in the Vancouver Census Metropolitan
Area (CMA), this study, and the Toronto CMI, are available on a syndicated
basis to advertisers, their agencies and other organizations interested in the
Chinese market.
- The media data are compiled using a seven-day diary of radio listening,
television viewing and newspaper reading.
